Are you part of the assessment team in your department?
Creating Effective Assignments and Rubrics
April 8 or 9
Join the Student Learning Outcome and Assessment (SLOA) committee to learn how to design quality assignments, assessments and rubrics. This training will help prepare faculty for required assessments due by September 30, 2020 and will provide you with the prompts and tools needed to assess learning outcomes, including Critical Thinking.

Please come with your favorite assignment (assessed with scored evidence of the student’s critical thinking). If a written assignment, consider it be with minimum of three pages. If video assignment, it needs to provide enough information to assess critical thinking, or if a performance assignment, it has to elicit the student’s thinking in some way.

Would you like to know more about the Academic Administrator’s Dashboard?

Academic Administrator’s Dashboard Information Session
April 9
1-2pm; virtual

The Data Science and Analytics DSA team released the Academic Administrator Dashboard for deans and associate deans this week to inform their day-to-day decision making. The dashboard contains metrics on course registration patterns, course success, progress through the program, student graduation, and post-award student outcomes such as transfer, wages, and bachelor's degree attainment including the ability to disaggregate the metrics on demographics. An info session will be conducted through Faculty Development on April 9 from 1- 2 p.m. Watch the Faculty Development webpage for more information.

Are you interested in learning more about the MySuccess surveys that are sent to faculty?

MySuccess Learning and Action Community

10:00-11:00am; virtual

The MySuccess Learning and Action Community is designed especially for faculty, and will highlight the tools within MySuccess that can help faculty give regular feedback to students and connect students with the tools and support they need to implement that feedback. This learning community focuses on how MySuccess can support our shared goal of student success and retention. If you are passionate about student success, and want to learn more about how you can collaborate with Academic Advising and other support networks through MySuccess, please join us!
