Taylorsville City Construction Update

The city of Taylorsville, Utah Department of Transit, and Utah Transit Authority have collaborated and planned multiple construction projects in Taylorsville throughout 2022-2025. Information about each project is provided below with access to a construction area map, contact information and a rough timeframe for when projects will begin. Please anticipate short-term travel delays, lane closures, alternate routes and access restrictions in the affected areas.

Summer 2022 Construction

Salt Lake Community College Paving

UDOT will begin working on the SR-292 at the Redwood Campus during the summer of 2022.

5400 South 1900 West Intersection

UDOT will begin a project that will improve drainage and provide a better and safer traffic flow through the intersection of 5400 S and 1900 W. Construction will start in the summer of 2022.

Redwood Road Mobility; 4100 South to 5400 South

Taylorsville City and UDOT will begin construction along Redwood Road between 4100 South and 5400 South. The project will start in summer 2022 and with anticipated completion in fall 2023.

Redwood Road Update; 6200 S to I-215

UDOT is designing improvements to SR-68 (Redwood Road) from 6200 South to I-215. Construction will begin in late 2022, with anticipated completion in 2023.

2023-2025 Construction

Midvalley Connector

The Federal Transit Authority and UTA are currently under design preparations for a new Bus Rapid Transit route, connecting to Murray Central station, SLCC Redwood Campus and the West Valley Central station. Construction will run from 2023-2025.

Any questions or concerns will be addressed at a public open house focusing on the project’s environmental impact.
