Adapting Leadership to Behavioral Styles
Many of us are fascinated by identifying and categorizing types of people, whether it’s an online quiz or a professional assessment. Over 2,000,000 people a year take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, for example. But it's not enough to be able to categorize people as personality types. The real strength is in gaining an understanding to help better your leadership, relationships, and teams. In this course, Dr Eric Zackrison teaches leaders who want to become more effective and impactful to harness the power of behavioral assessments and the knowledge they provide.

With roughly 200,000 men and women transitioning out of the military each year, veterans are a rich source of talent to tap. Through their military training, veterans learn the importance of strong leadership and connecting jobs to mission and values. In this course, veteran recruiting expert Lida Citroën helps recruiters identify and appreciate the differences between post-9/11 veteran and civilin candidates, as well as the qualities, skills, and talents veterans offer to employers. She also addresses questions on building your company brand to be attractive to veterans. What appeals to veteran candidates and what turns them off? Where should companies spend money and resources? How do you identify the military skills you want to attract? Last, Lida discusses ways to adapt your hiring process, teams, and systems to accommodate veteran employees, emphasizing onboarding and retention of veteran candidates.

Click on the Employee Tab.
Click on Register for Training on the lower right (scroll down).
Click on the blue Register for Training link on the top left.
Click on the Training/Department Drop-Down Menu, then click on Staff Development.
Click on the Course Drop-Down Menu, then click on the workshop you want to register for.
Click on Search.
Click on Details on the right. The workshop details will come up.
Click on Register in the box at the bottom. You are registered!
You will receive a confirmation email.

their talents and strengths. In this series participants can discover, develop, and apply their strengths
through the completion of the StrengthsFinder assessment and attending the Strengths Series workshops.

Employee Wellness
There are many ways to engage with the Employee Wellness Program as an employee. Starting March 7, the personal training program will be starting another round of personal training for the 21–22 fiscal year.
- The personal training program will run March 7 – June 20 (Intake form opens up February 15).
- The personal training program offers 16 weeks of free, 1-hour personal training for full-time employees plus a monetary incentive for all those who complete the program.
- For those who are new to the program or are curious about whether it is right for you, there is a 17-minute introductory video to explain the program.
- The aims of this video are to explain:
- The functionality of the program
- Participant selection process
- Expectations of personal trainers
- Expectations of clients
- Sign up by completing the Block 3 Intake Form starting February 15.
- For more opportunities such as Health Education, Walking Groups, Drop-in Yoga, Diabetes Prevention, and more visit the Employee Wellness Website.
Positive psychology teaches us the power of shifting one’s perspective which can lead to astounding changes in well-being and quality of life.
Positive Psychology Class Schedule: starting the beginning of March. Three virtual classes will be offered: Monday at 2, Tuesday at 1pm and Thursday at 2 pm. Class enrollment will be limited to 20 participants in each section, so please visit the Employee Wellness website to register.
