Leveraging Neuroscience in the Workplace
Understanding the working of the brain—a field known as neuroscience—can positively impact how we work with and lead others. Knowing how to change the brain to motivate and engage people, for example, allows leaders to focus on brain-based behaviors that can be changed to move their teams in the right direction. In this course, Harvard-trained psychiatrist and business consultant Srini Pillay shares insights from the latest neuroscience research on how to leverage the brain for maximum impact. Learn how to change your brain for the better, build confidence and resilience, and align the brains of your team so you can focus on common goals. Plus, find out how to use neuroscience to solve common management challenges, such as increasing team diversity, performance, speed, innovation, and focus.

Skills for Inclusive Conversations
Organizations reap the benefits of diversity—when employees bring their whole, authentic selves to work. Diverse teams are more productive, innovative, and engaged. Authenticity at work includes sharing and speaking up about work and life experiences that may be different based on one’s identity. Developing the skills to conduct meaningful conversations on potentially polarizing topics such as race, religion, and gender is critical for human resources professionals, managers, and team leaders. Mary-Frances Winters offers a multistep process for building the skills necessary to engage in inclusive conversations. Find out how to conduct an exploratory self-assessment to better understand yourself and your team, learn tactics to go from polarization to common ground, and discover practical techniques for discussing difficult topics.
Learning objectives
· Explain how psychological safety can benefit an inclusive dialogue.
· Interpret actions that impact one’s ability to engage in an
· inclusive conversation.
· Distinguish between the components of the 4E Model when assessing readiness.
· Determine what action to take when people involved in a conversation have a strong
