"Healing from Racial Trauma" Series

People and Workplace Culture and Student Success are sponsoring five Zoom calls, “Healing from Racial Trauma,” between March 26 and April 30.

These calls were originally specific to select groups of attendees to address the Zoombombings on February 4 and February 19 that left many of us reeling emotionally from the hate and racism that was spread.  At that time, we contracted with a group of Black/African heritage therapists, “The Black Clinicians,” to provide support to our SLCC community members. The therapists will continue to provide space for us to be together and express our emotions and provide tools for processing any triggers that may have happened and continue to linger.*

Register using SLCC Campus Groups to receive our password protected Zoom link.  If you have not used this system before, please check out the tips below.**

For security purposes, you will need to use the SLCC Zoom account associated with your slcc.edu or BruinMail account.

If you are joining the call from a smartphone, please download the Zoom app ahead of time and make sure you are logged in before the event starts.

Faculty, please consider excusing students' absences if their attendance to these sessions overlaps with class time.

Students, if you would like to attend a session that overlaps with a class, please approach your instructor BEFORE the Zoom session to discuss the possibility of an excused absence.
