Foundations of Inclusive Teaching
This self-paced, online Canvas course introduces instructors to key concepts and principles for equitable and inclusive teaching. The course includes definitions, short readings, videos, reflective questions, teaching strategies, and other resources. Participants will complete a series of self-paced learning activities, record their teaching ideas in a notebook or teaching journal, and complete a formal reflection. Adjunct faculty will be compensated for 6 hours for this course. This course is always available for registration.


Equity in Student Writing Learning Community 
June 24, July 29
11:00-12:00pm
Zoom - link sent after registration. 
In this learning community, participants will learn how to create equitable writing instruction, assignment, and assessment practices for all SLCC students. Participants will complete a four-hour self-paced Canvas course and a one-hour scheduled learning community discussion. 5 hours total. Register for one, two, or all three learning community courses! 

(FO21) Writing with Hidden Disabilities: June 24. Registration closes: June 17.

(FO22) Teaching Towards Linguistic Justice: July 29. Registration closes: July 22.


Equity in Student Writing—On Your Schedule 
If you cannot commit to a specific discussion date, (see learning community above), consider enrolling in one or more of the Equity in Student Writing self-paced courses.  These courses finish with an informal conversation with the facilitator that fits your schedule.

eLearning Courses

Canvas User Credential Course (DCUC) 
Course is always open (register anytime)
This course teaches the key features of Canvas. The course is self-paced, so you can complete this course as quickly you’d like. There are no on-campus meetings for this course. The course is taught asynchronously and fully online so you can experience what it’s like to be an online student. Adjunct faculty are compensated 12 hours for this course.
